Pre-KG 2021/22 Blog 2 A great start Into Art !

Pre-KG 2021/22 Blog 2

A great start into Art !

In their first full week at school, the Pre-Kindergarten children got used to the new routines and explored various toys and games in the classroom.

They started to experiment with different media and tools .

After days of rain, the children commented on the cloudy sky and then took the opportunity to create their impressions by making their first prints using cloud shaped sponges and some cloudy colours (plus a sunny one !).

The children also worked with play dough, showing amazing concentration. Using their fine motor skills by kneading, rolling, pressing and squeezing the dough, they had lots of fun making different animals and shapes.

Finally, Friday was a VERY busy day !

It started with a morning circle together with K1, continued with P.E., which was followed by a whole school Emergency Earthquake / Tsunami drill and then ended with a very exciting visit to the FASHION MUSEUM.

The exhibition featured charming artwork by famous artist Osamu Harada and the Pre-KG children and teachers were very lucky to have been able to view this popular art exhibition, courtesy of the museum staff.

The children were well behaved, showed great interest and commented on many details of the posters and pictures.

Good job, Pre-KG !

What a wonderful opportunity to experience art on different levels !

Because….you are never too young or too old to enjoy art !

Yours,
